Aluminium Compression Links are manufactured from high conductivity aluminium to suit a range of cable types and sizes. Links are available for both stranded and solid sector aluminium conductors. Reducing links allow two conductors of different sizes to easily be joined. Compression tooling and dies are required to install these links.
Copper Compression Links are manufactured from high conductivity copper to suit a range of cable sizes. Reducing links allow two conductors of different sizes to easily be joined. When joining the same size conductor, links with or without a solid barrier are available. Compression tooling and dies are required to install these links.
Bi-Metal Compression Links are used to join a copper conductor to an aluminium conductor. The copper section is friction welded to the aluminium section which eliminates the presence of oxygen between the surfaces and therefore eliminates electrolytic corrosion. Bi-metal reducing links allow two conductors of different sizes to easily be joined. Compression tooling and dies are required to install these links.
Pre-Insulated Compression Sleeves are used to join insulated low voltage aerial bundled cables (LV ABC). The pre-insulated sleeves are totally insulated and waterproof. They are available for both non tension and full tension applications. Compression tooling and dies are required to install these sleeves.
Mechanical Links are made from a high strength aluminium alloy that allows them to be used on both aluminium and copper conductors. They are available for both stranded and solid sector conductors and can usually take a range of conductor sizes in the same link. The mechanical links have shear bolts for installation, the bolts are simply tightened until they shear off so no compression tooling is required.
