To make the user experience easier, the Engineering Team has been working to convert the AML PDF version to an interactive Excel version. This will increase searching capabilities across Asset Groups and Asset Categories for both ASPs and suppliers.
When reinstating the Mains Earth Neutral (MEN) as per NS282, inspect neutral connections. Visually check to ensure the connection is tight and secured. Perform a pull test if required to all connections as a part of the recommissioning of services.
Updates to CEOM7098 – Underground Design and Construction Manual have been completed and the document is now available via Standards Online. The revisions table at the rear of the document outlines all of the changes as an easy reference.
A minor error was picked up in the 2021/0 release of the Electrical Safety Rules. This has been updated in a 2021/1 revision and Appendix A, as well as an additional Amendment Advice covering the changes.

Ausgrid has released the new Network Standard 282 Service Testing. This new network standard introduces minimum requirements for the testing of new or replacement services prior to and following the energisation of a customer’s premises.
The current COVID19 pandemic is causing changes and restrictions to Registered Training Organisations that currently service the ASP market. Such changes may impact the ability of ASPs to satisfy current annual authorisation requirements.
