Weld metal is available as colour coded, sealed containers with exactly the right amount of material required to make a good connection. There is no need to pour or mix the material; simply place the container into the mould, connect the lead and make the connection.
Mould tools are available in many different connection styles and are available for a variety of applications. They are made from semi-permanent graphite which is able to withstand the high temperatures required by the CADWELD® PLUS process, and will last for more than 50 welds if properly cared for and maintained.
Mould handle clamps are used for most lug, cable or rectangular bus connections. Available in two sizes, the clamps are able to fit many different sizes and types of molds. To secure them in place simply tighten the positioning screws.
The CADWELD® PLUS Control Unit initiates the reaction of the metal crucible. The unit includes a 6-foot-long, high temperature, control unit lead. The lead attaches to the ignition strip using a custom made, purpose-designed termination clip. After the termination clip is installed on the ignition strip, the installer pushes and holds the ignition button to start a charging and discharging sequence. Within a few seconds the control unit sends a predetermined voltage to the ignition strip and the reaction is initiated.
