Ausgrid have introduced another supplier of 11kV distribution switchgear for installation within chamber or basement distribution substations. The new switchgear is the Siemens 8DJH which is now available for purchase.
SA12_20 Stage 3 Live Work Tasks and Live Work Project Wrap Up v2
We have now completed the last of the risk assessments for the Live Work Project. These risk assessments have determined that the following Stage 3 Live Work Tasks are now able to be performed live in accordance with the Electrical Safety Rules 2020.
SA11_20 Excavating Cables in Preparation for Identification and Jointing
All cables and conduits detailed in underground plans in the vicinity of the proposed works must be exposed, and excavations must be cleared of spoil to a minimum of 200mm around any cable covers, joints, cables or conduits.
SA10_20 Managing Risks in Excavations Greater Than 1.5m in Depth
No worker should be in a trench greater than 1.5m deep unless support has been installed; and all excavations should be carried out in accordance with the SafeWork NSW’s Code of Practice for Excavation Work.
