In their recent Technical Bulletin (TB-0179), Endeavour Energy have decided to streamline their approved cable joints after updates to utility standards.
As a result, the new MXSU-P101 kit (ARS 08011) has now been approved for use on the Endeavour Energy network, and will fully replace the previous MXSU-P45 and MXSU-P100 kits.
NOTE: This change is applicable only to straight-through joints on the Endeavour network. This change does not apply to private applications.
The new joint is suitable for both 11kV and 22kV XLPE insulated cables and has a cable range of 185mm2 to 300mm2. It can be used for a 3 core to 3 core inline joint, or a 3 core to 3 x 1 core inline joint. The MXSU-P101 is supplied with range taking mechanical connectors that are suitable for use on both aluminium and copper conductors.
The new and more versatile MXSU-P101 joint kit replaces the previously used MXSU-P100 (ARS 00140) joint kit which was only suitable for 11kV 3 core to 3 core 95-240mm2 XLPE inline joints, and the MXSU-P45 (02611) joint kit which was only suitable for 22kV 3 core to 3 core 95-240mm2 XLPE inline joints.
The MXSU-P100 and MXSU-P45 kits have been run out, and ARS is pleased to announce that we now have stocks of the new MXSU-P101 kit across our Sydney and Nowra branches.
