Working closely with our supply partners allows All Round Supplies to provide better sales and support services for our customers. We recently hosted a product familiarisation training session at our Prestons branch which focused on TE’s Tappat range of low voltage mains pillar terminations. This pillar termination range is widely used on power utility networks and includes:
- Solid connected pillar terminations for 1, 2 or 3 mains cables. These terminations have no removable links for isolation of the mains cables.
- Single link pillar termination for two mains cables. This termination has a three phase set of removable links for isolation of the mains cables.
- Double link pillar termination for three mains cables. This termination has two three phase set of removable links for isolation of the mains cables.
TE representatives Richard Nagy and Glenn Aston delivered the product training in the ARS training workshop. This informative session was well received by those who attended.
Ausgrid’s Network Standard NS 127 ‘Specification for Low Voltage Cable Joints and Terminations’ discusses product specific training. Note 2 for the double link distribution pillar (LV1-60) states:
“Training in the installation of this link pillar must be completed prior to installing.”
By working with our supply partner TE, All Round Supplies is able to facilitate product familiarisation training for the Tappat range of low voltage mains pillar terminations. More training sessions are scheduled but are filling fast.
